Casino Hold'em Game Rules

Poker is probably the most internationally popular card game and Texas Hold’em poker is probably the most popular version of poker. In fact, most poker players think of Texas Hold’em as the most basic form of poker, with most other games building on or being inspired by it.

Texas Hold’em poker is a fairly simple version of poker and Casino Hold’em is its very close variant. In Casino Holdem, unlike in Texas Hold’em, the player gets to play against the casino. While the rules are much the same, there is no direct competition between the players sitting at a table.

Casino Hold’em is played with a deck of standard 52 cards, and like Texas Hold’em the joker is excluded from the game. The highest card in Casino Hold’em is an Ace, and the lowest card is a two.

To begin playing, every player places an ante bet. Then the dealer deals two cards face up to each player at the table, and also deals two cards to himself. The dealer cards are dealt face down. Also, cards are placed at the top of the table called ‘community cards’, and these make up the ‘flop’.

Rounds of raising or folding follow up the bets. If the player raises or places another bet, he increases the stake to stay in the game. If on the other hand the player wants to quit the game, he or she folds and forfeits the ante bet amount.

The final winning is decided by comparing the dealer’s cards with the player’s cards. The dealer must have a pair of fours to qualify. If the player and the dealer have equal cards then the game is a push. If the player has higher cards he is paid out according to the ante bet.
