Triple Card Poker Game Rules
There seems to be an endless list of poker variations, and not surprisingly each one carries a different thrill for poker lovers. Triple card poker is a new and thrilling variation of casino poker. In the game you don’t play against other players, but against the dealer.
The game itself is quite simple and this is a major attracting factor for poker enthusiasts. If you are looking at having some pure fun at the casino, triple card poker is a great option.
There are essentially two ways of betting in triple card poker – the standard ante bet and the pairplus bet. The added advantage is that a player can bet either on one or both bets with varying wagers. In both bets, the player is dealt three cards and paid out on the basis of card rankings. The rankings of hands follow the conventional poker rankings with a straight flush ranking higher than a three of a kind and so on.
In a pairplus bet, the lowest paid ranking is the pairplus. When you play a pairplus game you are dealt three cards. The dealer too gets dealt three cards, but in this type of betting the dealer cards are of no consequence. Essentially, in pairplus you can’t discard any card nor can you raise. The hand you are dealt is your final hand and is evaluated for payout depending on the payout chart for the table.
If on the other hand you wish to play an ante bet, you begin by placing your ante bet. After being dealt three cards, you can elect to raise or fold. The raise amount has to be equal in value to your ante bet whereas if you choose to fold you forfeit your ante amount. In the ante bet triple card poker, the dealer’s card must qualify with a minimum queen high. If the dealer’s cards qualify, and you hand is better you get paid according to the payout chart. If on the other hand, the dealer’s card beats your hand, you lose. The third scenario is where the dealer’s hand doesn’t qualify at all. In this case the ante bet is returned to the player.
